Where do I sleep?
We have two men’s bunkrooms with ten and eleven bunks, and a women’s bunkroom with fifteen bunks. Our bunkrooms offer enough space for you to sleep and easily store your belongings and access your clothes, unlike a lot of bunkroom situations where there are four bunks in an 11 x 12 bedroom.
Am I assigned a permanent bunk?
No, bunks are first come/first served on any given weekend. Members who come to the club every weekend often tend to sleep in the same bunk. This is respected informally by other members even though there are no formal bunk assignments.
What about food?
Although members frequently share appetizers and desserts, we have no common club meals. You can store your food in sealed bins in our pantry or our two refrigerators. You can cook on our gas stove in the large, well equipped kitchen, order take out delivery, or go out to eat. This allows you to eat when and where you want and within your own budget.
What do I bring?
A sleeping bag and towel for each family member and a desire to have fun doing outdoor activities.
Is smoking allowed in any part of the club?
No.
What about chores? We run the club without formal chore assignments because our members respect each other and maintain the club as if it were their home. Clean up after yourself, and keep your belongings and food organized rather than disbursed throughout the club. When you see a job that needs to be done, take a few minutes each weekend to do it. With this spirit of cooperation and respect, we will continue to avoid the accountability of assigned tasks.
Are pets allowed?
No.
Are there work weekends?
There are two work weekends every fall, and members are required to attend at least one. The Vice President assigns tasks to each member based on skills and club needs.
