Ready to take the next step to become a member?
- Plan a visit to the club. This will give us an opportunity to meet and see if the Ala-Bye will be a good fit for you and your family. We have an open house on the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October every year. At other times, contact a member who you know or one of the club officers to make sure someone is here when you come to visit us.
- Submit a membership application and an EICSL Indemnification form.
- Pay your Ala-Bye dues, EICSL dues, initiation fee and pre paid lodging (see FAQ’s for costs).
- You receive your key to the club!
- First year membership is probationary. You are voted in as a permanent member at the general membership meeting in May.
What is required to become and remain a member?
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age for single membership.
- Contact a member of the club, visit the facility and determine if you and the Ala-Bye are a good fit.
- Submit a completed member application.
- Pay dues, initiation fee, prepaid lodging and EICSL membership fees.
- Sign and submit EICSL waiver form annually for all family members.
- Attend one of two work weekends every fall.
- Members are required to attend the annual meeting.
- Members are accepted on a trial basis the first season. Their permanent member status is confirmed by vote of the membership at the spring meeting.
What are the benefits of being a member in the Ala-Bye Ski Club?
- Receive a key to the club to use the facility any day of the year.
- Vote for officers or run for office.
- Basement ski/snowboard storage.
- All adult members are members of the Eastern Interclub Ski League. We can participate in EICSL social and racing events and take advantage of discounts on lift tickets and local business discounts offered to EICSL members.
- Members may bring a maximum of five guests to the club on any night. More than five guests require approval by four club officers. Guest fees are $25/night for adults and $10/night for students Each guest may stay a maximum of four nights per season. Members receive priority over guests for available bunks.
Do I need a reservation to use the club?
No. In the unlikely event that all of our members came to the club at the same time, we would have enough beds for everyone.
